About The Album:
Isaac's debut studio album is finally here!
This 16 track pop punk throwback album tackles the many ups and downs on the rollercoaster journey to find true love, known as Infatuation.
The albums two featured singles "Without You" and "Happy" perfectly categorized this album, showcasing a wide variety of emotions and stories accompanied by Isaac's signature wide variety of noises and sounds. Each track is pop punk inspired, with many featuring a mix with another genre such as the 80s styled "Mosquito" and the Rom-Com Alternative styled "Let Me Go"
Graveyard (intro)
Graveyard serves as the intro to the album, guiding longtime fans from Isaac's signature low velvet vocals into his new high punk distorted vocals debuting on this album. This is the only song on the album inspired by a woman .
Lovestruck
Originally written to be the lead single, Lovestruck is a joyful pop punk upbeat song about how just when you lease expect it and just when you're not looking for it, that's when love hits you
Let Me Go
Inspired by the Netflix drama "Let Me Go" incorporates modern alternative synth pop with punk guitars to create a beautifully simplistic calm feeling. The lyrics tell the story of the beginning of a romance, when you're not sure how far it will go.
Without You
The lead single from the album "Without You" is a 90s rock ballad featuring heavy guitars and a powerful bridge and final chorus with belting vocals and a tangible sadness. The accompanying music video quickly rose to be one of Isaac's most popular videos, showcasing the deep sadness that can happen when you lose someone close to you.
Americana
Americana strays from the album theme of love slightly. With some Country Music inspirations, this song tackles the feeling of being torn between two worlds. One the one side, traditionalism and the simple beauty of it, and on the other end progression and improvement.
Undercover
This James Bond spy song incorporates an emphasized catchy bassline. The story of the song is simple, asking the love interest to reveal their intentions finally so that they can be together rather than keeping it a secret.
Summer Love
This 50s doo wop inspired pop punk song embodies the happiness and feelings of summer and the endless possibilities within. With a catchy and happy lyrical delivery, the song reminds you that even when you know something is going to end, it's better to enjoy it while you can and make great memories.
Mosquito
Affectionately dubbed "The Simp Song", Mosquito is the only track inspired by Isaac himself. The clever rhythms of the lyrics will draw you in, accompanied by a catchy Janet Jackson inspired backbeat with a heavy guitar chunk throughout. The song reminds you that love is like exploring a jungle, with tropical sound effect featured heavily throughout.
Who You Love
"Who You Love" is the second song Isaac has featured a female vocalist on. Rebekah Golden's beautiful harmonies compliment Isaac's high chorus melody to perfectly portray the combination of desperation and self respect written into the songs lyrics. This guitar ballad features the narrator pleading with a love interest to just leave them alone, using a play on the phrase "Love Who You Love".
Daisy
This guitar ballad, like "Americana", strays from the romantic themes of the album to remind the listener that it's okay to not be okay all of the time. The song was inspired by Isaac's own experiences with toxic masculinity, combating the phrase "boy's don't cry" by comparing them to a daisy, which is both fragile and perennial. The daisy was chosen as a metaphor because it is a flower which by nature is easily broken but beautiful, but it is also a perennial flower which means it comes back every year. This metaphor carries the message that it's okay to be sad during a rainy day and take time to heal, but it's important to remember that one day the sun will come out, and when it does it'll be safe to open up again.
Lose My Mind
This Avril Lavigne inspired pop punk track joins the early 2000s pop punk revival, with it's clever lyrics in the verses as it's strong suit. Each line begins how the previous line ended. The chorus features a simple melody over a pumping guitar beat with an empowering message that its okay to be fine without someone.
Happy
The second single from the album was written as a counterpart to the lead single "Without You". Happy instead tells the story of how to choose to be happy when faced with losing someone, reminding the listener that they are enough on their own. This 60s doo wop inspired song harkens back to Isaac's previous eras, and the accompanying music video features a summertime hippie aesthetic.
Jake
This dark horse track quickly rose to become a fan favorite for both it's condescending lyrical delivery and it's ruthless lyrics that tear into the fictional "Jake" character. "Jake" was inspired by one real life person, but now personifies every F-boy out there, talking down to them as if they were a child. The production is inspired by 2000s rom com movies, featuring a simple but fun melody and a high school band style production.
Sexy
This track is Isaac's take on self empowerment anthems. The song combines a heavy rock chunk guitar with modern trap elements to create many different moods, from the sultry smooth verses to the power driven rock-dance chorus.
Fine
Nicknamed the "Pirate Drinking Song" by Isaac, Fine is a power rock track inspired by many nights at a bar trying to find peace and comfort during a heartache in the company of strangers. The song is inspired by early era P!nk songs, and captures the feelings of being surrounded by desperation at a dive bar with the sound effects peppered throughout. Fine features Isaac's most impressive vocal delivery on the album, with his high full tenor voice combining with a distortion effect to create a punk rock tone.
Infatuation
The final track on the album "Infatuation" ends the purposeful chaos of the previous tracks. This simple guitar and single melody track captures the feelings of when a new love first begins. The lyrics contain several references to famous love songs such as Taylor Swift's "Love Story", the Country ballad "Angel Eyes", and many more. The choruses feature a cute take on classic pickup lines, and the "ooh" melody will leave you with a smile and a reminder that although love can feel like a chaotic mess (as shown through the other tracks on the album) nothing is as amazing as that feeling when you first find love, which makes the rollercoaster worth riding over and over again.
